A Company That Cares About Charitable Work As Much As You Do!


Wendy Smith launched Sargent Solutions Inc. in 2006 to fill the gaps in the charity space by tying fundraising, finance, and database management in a way that solves problems – where solutions aren’t usually evident.


The company is named after Wendy’s late father. A role model to many, he was disabled after a horrific work-related accident before she was born. Growing up, Wendy witnessed her parents’ pursuit of giving back to a community that had given them so much support despite their challenges. It has always been her belief that one person can make the world a better place.


Sargent Solutions is doing an impressive job of living this belief. Wendy has created a cohesive team (a family) of high-level achievers who are dedicated to making a difference by helping charities help the world. Their unique skill set and knowledge provide workable solutions that save money, organize departments for maximum efficiency, and unleash their clients’ true fundraising potential.


They were awarded the IT Hero Award in 2009 from the Information Technology Association of Canada for a system developed to streamline the way head traumas are dealt with in Ontario, which saved the province millions of dollars. In 2018, they won Blackbaud Partner of the Year and Blackbaud’s We Give Back award.

“Analytical Wizard”

Wendy truly is the wizard behind Sargent Solutions. She has created a company that fills gaps in the charity space, tying fundraising, finance, and database management to solve problems (where solutions aren’t evident) so all things are possible. Wendy travels extensively for business. To overcome her fear of flying, Wendy’s team gave her the most frightening and thrilling opportunity of a lifetime – to pilot an open cockpit WW II biplane. Another problem mastered!

Kylie Smith, VP of Client & Partner Engagement

Kylie is a patient and innovative leader with years of diverse experience.  Her natural leadership abilities and creative thinking make her ideal in this role. Kylie has been at Sargent Solutions since 2011 and brings to the position a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of our operations.  Kylie's life’s philosophy “your success is my success”, shows in all her endeavors. She’s passionate about her impact on the world and makes conscious decisions daily to make the community a better place.

Shannon Barrie, Technical Expert

“Processing Queen”

Shannon is a natural when it comes to numbers and balancing them – and uses her innate gifts for donation processing and records management to report, monitor, and track success. A talented artist and former Canadian Nationals Roller Boogie champion, she is known as an achiever. With a blend of technical savvy and fundraising expertise, Shannon can be counted on for impactful results.

Tara Morley, Technical Expert

“Data Guru”

Tara makes data come to life. She is known to “get down in the weeds and pick through the dirt” to manipulate data so her clients can use it as they want...or in enhanced ways they’ve never considered. Tara has earned her “Data Guru” title as she investigates and masters new programs for her clients and has yet to be stumped. Every day is an adventure for Tara and her family (including a Bearded Dragon).

Andrea is a jack of all trades in the charity world. With experience working in education, healthcare, youth services, the Provincial Government, recreational programming, and event planning, Andrea understands that high-level organizational skills lead to success in all industries. Andrea is dedicated to supporting the Sargent Solutions team by providing an elevated administrative experience and delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.
